Description of Dealster

Dealster is known as a hazardous adware that attempts to take control of users’ Web browsers and exploit threats to users’ information security. In general, this virus is bundled with download resources including music, games, videos and other software, which are always available for free download on unsafe websites.
Once Dealster enters your computer successfully, it will immediately alter some browser default settings. Each time you conduct a new search, it will produce false results which have nothing to do with your search terms. At the same time, it adds numerous ads and sponsored links to the result pages, which are full of sales campaigns and try to trick users into paying for their products. Besides, Dealster drops additional computer infections to mislead users to spam sites. Furthermore, Dealster serves as a passageway, through which hackers can break into your system, monitor your Web browsing activities and collect your private data such as account numbers, passwords, Web browsing history, etc. It goes without saying that Dealster is really a malicious browser hijacker, and you should remove it as quickly as possible.

Steps to remove Dealster virus:

1.Stop all vicious processes of Dealster from Task Manager
To do this, you can hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc at the same time to open the Task Manager. But you should know that the virus’s name may vary from one to other, so you should be careful.

2.Display all hidden files so as to remove Dealster's files
To show all hidden files from PC, please follow these steps:
①Click Start Menu and click Control Panel

②Click Appearance and Personalization and click Folder Options

③Go to View tab, tick Show hidden files and folders and deselect Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

④Click OK
3.Remove all malicious files and keys from Registry Editor
To do this, you can click on Start Menu and click Run. When a dialogue pops up, you should type "regedit" in the box and click OK.

Now, please remove the following keys from the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\run\
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Temp
Note: you should know that any mistake changes happen in the registry will cause other serious system problems. So before you make some changes, you should back up your registry first!
